Clients, legal parents or guardians of minor clients, and individuals who have been authorized in writing through a Release of Information form may receive a copy of a client’s case file in accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code §611.008. Records may be redacted if the provider determines that access to the redacted portion would be harmful to the patient’s physical, mental, or emotional health, in accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code §611.0045.
