Clients, legal parents/guardians of minor clients, and individuals for whom consent has been given in writing via the release of information form may receive a copy of the client's case file (your healthcare record), in accordance with legal and ethical considerations (Texas Health and Safety Code, 611.008). The records you receive may be redacted if I believe access to the redacted portion "would be harmful to the patient's physical, mental, or emotional health" in accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code, 611.0045.
